Evelyn Hancock, a former employee of the City of Oklahoma City, brought suit against the City in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, seeking relief under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000(e) to 2000(e)-17 (1982), and also setting forth a pendant state claim based on Oklahomas Workers Compensation Law authorizing actions for wrongful retaliatory discharge. The City filed an answer and the case was set on a trial calendar.
